Jennifer Cutting, (keyboards, button and piano accordians) the band's principal writer / arranger, brings to her work a percision craftsmanship born of her two degrees in music and a passion of her devotion to tradition. One of the last disciples of the late English folk revival leader Bert Lloyd, her imaginative arrangements combine elements of the traditional with progressive rock, pop, jazz, and artistical music, shaping The New St. George's unique sound. Adopted as a child by two scholar / priests from India, she contributes her unique perspective of British colonialism to the album with her award-winning original song "All The Tea in India." Lisa Moscatiello (vocals, guitar, bouzouki, whistle, mandolin) has been singing on major folk festival stages since she was 15. A stylistic hybrid whose primary influences have been acappella vocal jazz (from her days directing and performing in Yale's Redhot and Blue) and the highly ornamented Irish sean nos singing tradition (as original lead vocalist for all-woman Irish ensemble Ceoltoiri). Her singing has been described as "stunning" (Dirty Linen) and Mid-Atlantic Music Monthly calls her "...One of the most beautiful voices in the Mid-Atlantic." She now has a solo album entitled Innocent When You Dream also avialable on Folk Era Records. Bob Hitchcock (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin) from Sussex, England, came of age playing in rock clubs and had an active career on the famed English folk club circuit of the late 1960's through mid-1970's. He has also made two albums with the well-respected sea music group, the Boarding Party. The Washington Post calls him an "exceptional" singer. Juan Dudley (drums and percussion) brings energy, passion and elegance to the ensemble. A native Washingtonian from a musical family that includes the late singers Brook Benton and Billy Eckstine, he recently recorded with progressive rock band Bang Theory for MCA Records. Rico Petruccelli (producer, bass) comes to The New St. George having performed with Mary Chapin-Carpenter, Chuck Berry, Jonathan Edwards and Charlie Byrd. A veteran of the DC music scene, he is also a highly respected recording engineer, producer, and composer of many familiar jingles.
